Hidden Gem
Hey MusicLovers,
Last night was pretty much routine, you know the usual -curling up on the sofa listening to Adele 21 while deciding whether I should prioritize Art homework or Netflix- pretty routinely, that is until I found a bug, a hitch, a flaw in my once pristine music collection.
You see, while I was doing my art homework and listening to Adele's Set fire to the Rain and watching 1995's Clueless on Netflix, I stumbled upon an unknown in my playlist.
In my contemporary mix of Sunshine State, India Arie, Adele and Natasha Bedingfield I found,
Pop. Electronic Pop.
Now don't get me wrong, I love pop. But this specific playlist was leaning more to the contemporary side and this song was most definitely not. It was also one that I hadn't remembered putting there in the first place.
The song was Find Our Way by Midnight Kids, it's the duo's debut single and I loved it (even though it was in my contemp collection and took me out of The Zone™).
I'm sure that most fans of electronic pop and just pop, in general, would enjoy it immensely.
Truth be told, as much as I liked the song, I still removed it from my SoundCloud playlist -I added it to another (noncontemporary) one though.
Although I removed it from my playlist, I'm encouraging you to add it to yours. 😄
